Open Days for 2012 have ended, but private tours can still be scheduled.
Please note: Due to the delicate nature of the garden, and the many rare plants, the garden is accessible by guided tour only. Although you may schedule a private tour anytime during the year, the garden is also open on special dates which we call "Open Weekends". On these days, no reservation is needed and no deposit is requested. Garden tours start at 1:00 and 3:00 P.M. and are $10.00 per person (or free with your Peckerwood Garden Membership). These tours provide an insight to the concept of Peckerwood Garden, as well as horticultural information. Purchase tickets at the gate.
When you visit, please plan to visit the Peckerwood Garden Plant Sale. We have an expanding collection of hard-to-find plants, many of which you will see growing in the garden. Visiting the Plant Sale area is free. Plant Sale hours are 12:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M on each Open Weekend.

- Peckerwood Garden Tours: $10 per person, members free. No advanced reservation required. Pay at the gate (cash, check, credit cards). Students (12 and older) admitted free to the garden. Unfortunately, small children, baby strollers, and pets are not allowed in the garden due to the delicate and sharp plants.

Getting to the Garden
Peckerwood garden is located 50 minutes west of downtown Houston (about 2 hours from Austin and 3 hours from San Antonio) just off of Highway 290 on F.M. 359, and south of the town of Hempstead, TX.
Take US 290, exit FM 1488/FM 359 Brookshire. Go south on FM 359, cross Bus. 290, continue 1- 3/4 mile. See Brumlow Rd. on the left, go about 200 feet, see 2 mailboxes and our sign on the right. Turn in at the sign for parking. If you get to FM 3346, you missed us.
