For small goups of up to six people, a private horticultural tour at Peckerwood emphasizes your particular horticultural interests and includes the dry garden on the north side of the stream (not included on any other tours). This tour answers questions like what to plant where, and how to plant in various soils. Formulas for soil mixes and tips on care and planning a garden are shared. If you are interested in developing a dry garden, we will introduce you to the best time-tested examples of plants that have proved themselves at Peckerwood Garden over the past 20 years.
Horticultural tours are charged at $75 per hour and are by appointment only. This summer, horticultural tours can be scheduled any weekday morning. For more information on the garden, see the Anne Raver article in the New York Times (April 19, 2012) or the article by Pam Penick in Garden Design Magazine (June 2012).
